Living life with a [Snapchat] filter.

One of my all-time favorite #partyhacqs are on-demand Snapchat geofilters. Snapchat geofilters are special picture overlays that communicate the “where and when” of a Snap. Whether for a house party, a fundraiser, a wedding, or just for fun, custom Snapchat filters are fun for guests to use and add to the celebration! DESIGN IT

Anyone can create a custom geofilter right from the Snapchat mobile application or upload their own to Snapchat's on-demand geofilter dedicated website. 

To get started, from your Snapchat settings, tap on “On-Demand Geofilters”. Choose a theme for your filter and customize it with text or stickers. 

You may also design your own custom geofilter using a template on Snapchat's on-demand geofilter dedicated website or by using a photo program and uploading your design to their website (I use web-based PicMonkey and Canva).  Geofilters should be 1,080px wide by 1,920px tall, under 300 KB in size, and saved as a .PNG file with a transparent background. Contact information (including URLs, hashtags, and social media handles), as well as photographs or full names of people are not allowed.

MAP IT

Next, decide where you want your geofilter to be used and duration of time you want it to be available. Duration can range from 1 hour to 90 days.

BUY IT

Submit your geofilter to be reviewed and enter your payment information. Prices begin at $5.99 and range depending on how long the filter will be active, how big the geolocation is, and how in-demand the location is.
